Welcome to Melnik! You're visiting the smallest city in Bulgaria with population approx. 300 people. Melnik, which is located in south-west part of Pirin mountain, is surrounded by impressive sand pyramids. The Thracians gave the name of the city - by the Thracian word 'mel' meaning chalk. Since centuries, the Melnik region is renowned for its best quality wine. Even Winston Churchill preferred it. While walking from stage to stage, don't miss the worthy sight seeings around you and obligatorily try the traditional Bulgarian cuisine in any of the authentic restaurants!
Stage 1
The coordinates will take you to a bridge. Look for the painted inscription which is actually the number of geodetic point nearby. It includes 2 letters and 3 digits. The digits are "AAA".
The next stage is on the following coordinates:

Stage 2

Take "BB" to get the next stage coordinates:

Stage 3
Now you are in front of a really fascinating house that is also a museum and an active wine-cellar. The building is one of the 100 National Touristic Objects of Bulgaria. Which number it is (check the sign on the entrance)? Take it as "C".
