This is one of my favorite parks: Calgary Park in the City of Cleveland. Park hours 6am to 9pm year 'round. No parking lot, so you'll have to park car on a city side street; my favorite is the north side of Calgary Avenue.
This park is diamond in the rough because it may be a connector point to the adjacent Big Creek (flows into the nearby Cuyahoga River). The Big Creek All-Purpose Trail will become a reality in future years. It will connect the Zoo to the Ohio Canal Corridor. Also this multi-million dollar project will be the atomic spark to revitalize a stagnant downtown Old Brooklyn.
Funny / Odd note: this park is home to lots of small children, yet one can walk through a large fence opening in SouthWest corner & come to the edge of a totally vertical cliff dropoff; certain demise would occur 50 feet below.
