The old Banbury Mine was serviced by an old tramway and a rope road. The Department of Conservation has recently been clearing the vegetation from around the mine entrance and the Banbury Arch, and during this work a second, smaller arch was found to exist next to the main arch. The Banbury Arches can be viewed from below, via newly formed track to a viewing spot. The Department of Conservation has placed a series of coal tubs on top of the Arches, which can be seen from this viewpoint.
The cache is a 200 ml sistema box with logbook. It is placed within 2 m of the track (lower side) and near (not in or at the base of) one of the few flax bushes.
