April is a film cannister in a camo bag hidden in Boothby
Grounds, which is part of Birkenhead Park. In 1903 the Park was
enlarged by the addition of the Boothby Ground, originally an area
set aside for building new houses around the Park. In World War II,
bomb shelters were built close to the Ashville Road boundary and
their outline can be seen after a spell of hot, dry weather. More
recently, the area has been dedicated to tennis and other sporting
activities, but it still includes some fine trees and shrubs.
Don’t forget to make a note of the number and watch out for
May!
