Lake Abanakee Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Cache is located along Route 28 at Lake Abanakee and intended to be a quick park and grab.
Lake Abanakee is a beautiful 4 mile long, 1/2 mile wide lake formed in 1951 when an earthen dam was completed. You can park and view the dam if you drive a short distance down Chain Lakes Road, along which we have placed another cache. The lake itself provides good fishing and is perfect for canoeing, kayacking and smaller boat activities. There are many lakes in this area, Indian Lake being the largest, and the surrounding area provides excellent hiking in Summer and snow-shoeing and snow mobiling in Winter.
The cache you seek is a camo bison tube which contains only a log so please bring your own pen.
