Geocache Description:

This is an offset cache on a hill with outstanding views.

The cache is not at the co-ordinates given, but you will need to go to these co-ordinates and answer the questions below to find the cache.

To answer the questions, you will need good visibility, so don't try to find this cache on a misty day. You will either need good local knowledge or an OS map and compass to answer the questions. We recommend the OS Explorer 1:25,000 no. 102 - Land's End.

There are several footpaths marked on the OS map, some of them are impassable. If you park at the given co-ordinates and take the path which starts at the suggested point you will find a reasonably clear path.

There is some gorse on this route, most can be avoided, but not all.

Route is suitable for children if they are used to moorland walking - our 5 and 7 year old had no problems.

Cache is a 1 litre lock and lock box at:

N 50° 11.ABC W 005° 30.ADE

A = Number of mine chimneys visible on the east side of Rosewall Hill minus the number of M's in the name of the island visible to the south.

B = Position in the alphabet of the 5th letter in the name of the prominent hill visible to the ESE.

C = Number of standing stones visible to the SW.

D = Number of E's in steeple added to the number of L's in the surname of the man responsible for the one visible to the NE.

E = OS BM S?868
