An easy find for anyone looking for a casual cache
and grab. Handicap friendly. Outside METRO at Foggy Bottom station.
I am not a small cache but I'm not a regular either nor am I a
nano. I am protected from rain and snow although when the snow
exceeds three feet you'll have extra challenges finding me. But
really, why would you even be outside with three feet of snow.
Everything turns crazy around me. It's anarchy I tell you, stay
away. But I'm off on a tangent. The urban canyons of the concrete
jungle where I'm living will give some wacky readings. My owner did
the best he could but it's really wacky.
But don’t worry. Just look for the onion patch. That's where
I'll be. I'm in a high commute area; lots of muggles about during
morning and evening commute times. Most of the muggles are students
at George Washington University so they're likely to be a little
smarter than the average muggle. But not smarter than you, YOU ARE
A GEOCACHER!!! The most challenging aspect of these muggles is
they're inquisitive and observant: They have a thirst for
knowledge. They won't look like they're watching, they won't look
like they're looking and they're probably not looking but they will
see you. So, don't act suspiciously!
When you arrive at GZ you'll see me. I'm out in the open. Hundreds
of people reach in to grab a newspaper and no one thinks twice.
It's as natural as can be. And you want to know why no one sees
them? Because grabbing a newspaper is NOT a suspicious activity.
People don't stop in front of me, look around to see if someone's
watching, reach in and grab, then look around again to see if
someone's saw them. And they don't scurry away from me. They just
walk, some slowly, some a little faster. And they don't look
guilty.
Trust me. Act naturally and you'll be invisible. If necessary,
practice naturality ahead of time, perhaps with friends.
