A quick p&g on the service road of the LIE.
When caching in Maine and Florida, I ran across several challenges which I enjoyed. A power run along a woods road in Maine, an alphabet soup challenge, an alphanumeric challenge, and a 250 star challenge. I enjoy these challenges as they make me focus on different goals.
Here on Long Island, I don’t know of many challenge caches, and there are a few missing caches if you wanted to do an alphanumeric challenge. Plus, where would be a good place for this if someone were to visit Long Island and wanted to knock this off? No wood roads around here.
So here is my contribution. I figure the service road of the Long Island Expressway would be a good place to set up a power run, with caches that would fulfill an alphanumeric challenge. It's a start. It may take awhile. But I believe it is worth setting up.

If you are worried about the hours when No Stopping is Allowed, there is parking at the second right after the cache.
