Geocache Description:

For 65 years a surface ropeway transported coal to the bins from many mines on the Plateau. Coal boxes running on the railway lines were hooked onto a constantly running (endless) rope, full boxes going one way and empties the other.

Many Denniston miners began their working lives as 'shed boys' at the roperoad. The job demanding most skill was 'clipping' the stationery boxes to the moving rope with a chain without getting fingers hurt.

Cache is a 400ml sistema container with a log only BYO pencil.
