The location used to have a Boat Pier to cross the Chao Praya to Tha Phrachan pier and a train station that served southern Thailand. First the Station was removed and then it lost it's pier. The Final result is a lovely park, museum and place to see Thailand float by.
This used to be next to the Thonburi Railway station but due to the expansion of Siriraj Hospital the station was moved back and the area is soon to be a medical museum for Siriraj Hospital. The Pier has now gone...
The park is quite beautiful with a monument and a train in it. Perfect place to look over at Bangkok and enjoy the tranquility of Thonburi.
