Geocache Description:

The cache is located on the edge of a bridleway which runs from near St Mihangel Church on the outskirts of Llanrug village.
It's a small plastic food box with snap-down lid and contains a log book, pencils and 12 low denomination foreign coins.
I would request that the pencils are not removed unless absolutely necessary.
I suggest parking near playing fields at N53 .08 .820 W004 . 11 . 764.

The cache is just under a mile from this parking location. There is another parking area near the church at N53. 08 . 625 W004 . 12 .202 which would make it a shorter walk to the cache but as this car park is next to the Village Cemetery you may find it full if there happens to be a funeral or Church Service in progress. (If you do use this parking area be sure to close the gate so that any stray sheep do not get in to the cemetery.)

The bridleway locally is referred to as 'The Drive' and initially is quite a firm pathway compacted by vehicles travelling to and from properties further down the pathway. Further along the path splits in 3 directions – at this point you will see the word PLASTIRION painted on a slate – take the pathway to the right – at this point the condition of the path deteriorates to a softer muddier path (especially in the winter months) so walking boots or Wellington boots are essential.

In view of this the cache is not accessible for wheelchair users or buggies and pushchairs.

In this section please be aware that you may meet farm vehicles, mountain bikers or riders on horseback using the Bridleway.
Occasionally you may come across stray sheep too so if you have a dog with you make sure it's on a lead.
There are lots of trees and woodland along this pathway which in parts affect GPS readings but I have hidden the cache at a spot where trees thin out and are just along the edge of the path with open fields visible on both sides. Look out for a single standing stone in the field on the left and a farmhouse in the distance on the right hand side.(when walk started at the Church end of the Drive - otherwise reverse left and right) The cache is at ground level so no climbing of walls involved !!

When you have found this cache you may like to go on a little further to another cache called Llanrug Lane – reference GC19B8
