Geocache Description:

I really like this location. The drive back to the cemetery is a little rough. Once there be sure to check out some of the people who rest here. This cache is dedicated to them. I feel like this cemetery is somewhat lost in time.

**Land Owner has requested me to add a note. The nearby land IS HUNTED during TURKEY and DEER SEASON! I recommend avoiding the area during these times. Better safe than sorry. Thanks.**

Cache container is a small locknlock container approx 4"x6"x2"

Coordinates to the Entrance Drive are 36 51.6322 86 20.5755

Cache is located inside cemetery near a fence. Use some caution driving back to the cemetery. It is a gravel drive, it does have steep grades. I made it in my Honda Prelude which is low to the ground. Use caution with rain and snow. (4 Wheel Drive Recommended)
I came across some interesting gravestones. I would like to know more. I challenge you to find and add information about the people who rest here. Lets learn more of there place in history. I notice one looked like he was in World War I. Another appears to have been in the Civil War. I believe at one time in the past a road may have passed near this cemetery, however over the years the roads have changed and left this place behind.

06/09/11 I have learned this cemetary was originally a slave cemetary that later became a family cemetary that has stayed in the family for years. It has been reffered to as the "Black Cemetary" in the past.

Property is HUNTED during TURKEY and DEER Season, Please respect these times posted yearly.
