Welcome to the zombie apocalypse. The recent movie Zombieland
starts out in Garland, TX and the folks in the movie are trying to
make their way to certain cities. Instead of using their real
names, the character "Tallahassee" says, "Stop, no names. Keeps
us from getting too familiar." Instead, they use the places
they are heading to as names. They "meet" two more people trying to
make their way to Pacific Playland. It is suppose to be "totally
zombie free". The truth is that the people in the movie are
actually in our great state of GA. Part of the movie was shot right
here in Powder Springs.
Welcome to Blaine's Grocery, home of the Hostess Twinkie.

Tallahassee: "There's a box of Twinkies in that grocery
store. Not just any box of Twinkies. The last box of Twinkies that
anyone will enjoy in the whole universe. Believe it or not,
Twinkies have an expiration date. Someday very soon, life's little
Twinkie gauge is gonna go empty."
When you get to the location, it pretty much looks like the
zombie apocalypse has already happened. This store remains empty,
eaten by the tough competition in the industry and not by zombies.
Blaine's Grocery also introduces Rule #22: When in doubt, know
your way out. The cache is placed near the door that Columbus
props open as they head to the back to meet Wichita and Little Rock
for the first time.
We hope you enjoy this little journey into Zombieland. If you
hear banjos, in this case in the south, you need to go toward the
sound. You might just want to go hang with Tallahassee just like
Columbus did. He is pretty good at the "Double Tap" (Rule
#2) with that banjo of his.

Tallahassee with his dueling banjo and Columbus with his double
barrel.
