Learning to Drive, Let the Adventures Begin Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: Hello,
I’m a volunteer reviewer for geocaching.com. In a routine check of area caches, I see that your cache has been missing or in need of significant maintenance for an extended period of time. The geocaching guidelines include a section on Cache Maintenance

You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.), or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem. You are permitted a reasonable amount of time – generally up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If you decide not to replace a missing cache, please archive the listing. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing.

I’ve archived your listing to make way for new, active caches to be placed. Thank you for your contribution to geocaching.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply — your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ethernet instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you the beautiful Golden Ears Provincial Park, allowing you the
opportunity to enjoy a relaxing break by the water, or perhaps a short hike. Be
warned, nice Summer days will bring out the muggles.

Cache is a small camouflaged Lock n’ Lock. Contains room for small trade items. In
keeping with the theme of the cache, Learning to Drive, we’d like to keep trade items
relating to methods of transportation.

This is my first hide, and I thought ‘what a better spot to hide something than to
hide it in a location that is meaningful to me.’ It’s within this parking lot that I was
taught, oh so many years ago, to drive. Being Spring Time it provided ample room
to practice reversing and parking. Afternoons after school my dad would bring me
here to practice my driving maneuvers. Thankfully he was a good instructor, and
was patient too.

And to make this hide even more meaningful, I’ve brought along my special helpers
to choose the perfect location; with each one of us dropping our first Trackable.

For the First-to-Find there is a $10 Gift Certificate for Chevron and a Treasure Hunters Scratch Ticket.

***Congrats to RPayment for the FTF!! Sorry you didn't win any money.***

Cache is also starting out with 4 Hotwheel Cars, Car Stickers, and 5 TBs.

Winter Hours: 8:00am-5:30pm - Please allow for a minimum of 15 minutes driving round trip to the cache location, and allow yourself plenty of time, so the gates are not closed on you. Also be mindful, no undergrowth needs to be disturbed to locate the cache.
