A simple traditional cache located in Ambury Regional Park.
Biggles has enjoyed finding many caches on work trips in Auckland. This cache is the second BIA (Biggles in Auckland) cache, placed by way of a thank you to all the Auckland cache placers for all the fun I've had up here.
Biggles daughter Foxy is now resident in Auckland and is able to assist with maintaining this cache.
Now about the location...
Riding for the Disabled provides therapeutic interaction with horses in order to develop increased ability and self esteem for children and adults with physical and intellectual difficulties.
New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association is an association of 54 Member Groups. Groups offer varying services according to the needs of their Riders. The three general fields covered by RDA in New Zealand are:
-Therapy and Rehabilitation
-Education, Behaviour Modification and Social Contact
-Horse Riding for Sport and Recreation for People with Disabilities
Some Groups also incorporate Driving for the Disabled into their programme.
This particular RDA site is within Ambury Regional Park. This is just down the road, a few hundred metres from where Biggles last lived in Auckland before moving to Nelson in 2003.
Now about the cache...
Cache is a 400ml sistema container with log, pencil, eraser, sharpener and room for small swaps. Hide location should be pretty obvious on final approach. Although the gates are locked at night, GZ should be still accessible for an almost park and grab.
