The Flying Dutchman Traditional Cache
the goonies9805: its been 3 months since i discovered the cache was missing. i think i had better archive it, if i get all the stuff to fully replace it maybe it will be back :(

In Fern Forest. This park is now open 7 days a week 9-5. This is a nice hike through the prairie overlook trail and past it. I gave it a 2 terrain because of the 1.5 mile round trip not because of the final terrain. Be careful of broken glass near the gz, i did not see it all initially. I heard there used to be a McArthur dairy farm out here a long time ago. I'm trying to get it cleaned up. I will add "abandoned structure" and "dangerous area" to the attributes because of the glass.
Check out the HUGE cypress stump right by the nature center off the boardwalk on the way, that was a big tree. I saw some armadillo foraging around and a shy gopher tortoise that scurried down his den along the way. I even saw a red rat snake cross in front of the car on the way out. There are supposed to be bobcat out here too, but i unfortunately have not seen one yet. It's a beautiful walk near the edge of the park. If you don't know the trails well, take the prairie overlook trail and stay to the right until you exit the trail and walk next to the prairie. The cache will be in the woods to your right. Enter when your closest to the cache, maybe 20 feet away from there. Enter from just east of it.
I loaded this with some of the pirate goodies from my son's pirate party. 1 inflatable sword, 2 eye patches, 1 pirate hat, 1 pirate face mask, 1 pirate compass, 1 pirate bouncy ball, allot of gold coins, some gems, 3 mardi gras beads. And a TB I picked up last week. Off the main path a little bit, light bushwacking the last 15 or 25 feet. You are looking for an ammo can. Use care when retrieving the cache, Please place back the way it was found as best as possible. Secure it well please.
