A public footpath opposite the newsagents on Bow street brings you on to the Moors. As you enter the Moors turn Left and follow the river path.
An alternative footpath to the Moors and route to the cache can be found to the side of the local supermarket.
The Levels and Moors lie in the heart of Somerset. An uncrowded and remote area, with many hidden places to discover and explore.
Pastures are divided not by hedges or fences, but by a network of drainage channels, known locally as ‘rhynes’.
It is a unique, flat and open landscape, large areas of almost treeless pasture land. These meadows support a range of marsh plants, which in turn provide habitats for many varieties of plant and animal life. In winter the flooded moors provide scenes of unprecedented beauty.
When you have found this one, why not continue along the footpath just to the right of the cache, which will lead you to the second in this series of caches -
