So many March themes to work with... the return of Daylight Savings, Fat Tuesday, St Patrick's Day, the Ides. An event at a local Wethersfield watering hole, Humphrey's, seems a great way to recognize the gradual return of long sunshiny days, Mardis Gras, the Luck of the Irish and, for that matter, the good fortune that cachers rely on. (Let's disregard the Shakespeare reference, eh?)
A keen eye and sharp mind may go a long way toward successful caching, but so does luck. Indeed, so many of us have been fortunate to get an introduction thru caching to a great new spot, a FTF or the thrill of a really tough find... and most have been unlucky to get skunked by a hide that's been muggled, iced / snowed over or so cleverly camo'd that it bests us.
So, on this second Tuesday, lets raise a glass to March and all the harbingers of hope and luck that it brings! We'll be there by 6:30, tho you can come when suits you. And who knows? Maybe at the 66th CCC you'll get lucky in a raffle...
The Central Connecticut Cacher’s Nite Out is an evening gathering on the 2nd Tuesday of most months. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact KD&MS. As host, you’ll select a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
