Geocache Description:

Should be quick, but please use care when removing and replacing the container.

Horace Greeley was thought to have said: "Washington is not a place to live in. The rents are high, the food is bad, the dust is disgusting and the morals are deplorable. Go West, young man, go West and grow up with the country."

Western styles were adopted by many all over the country. The most common item still in use today is 'blue jeans'. But many other items were popularized by the cowboys of yesterday: Roy Rogers, Gene Autry,
Hopalong Cassidy, to name a few. Even today some country western singers can been seen in attire similar to what was worn by the songsters of yesteryear. Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, & Chet Atkins, performed at The Grand Ole Opry in a clothing style born of the American west.

If you go out west you will discover the cowboy hat is as popular as the baseball cap is in the east, and boots are as common as sneakers.

Have fun! Watch out for the bad guys (muggles), perhaps.
