What is the greatest sport in the world? There are many ideas on
the subject, and so the debate has raged on for decades. Baseball
is said to be "America's Pastime," and possibly this makes it the
greatest of all sports. But then the football lovers will tell you
that there is no other sport that is filled with such excitement.
Basketball lovers will argue that their sport is quite possibly the
most fast paced and physically taxing of all. And then there's that
whole thing about soccer. Not accepted by some in our country, but
most of the world certainly thinks that soccer is the greatest
sport in the world. It would seem that they have a legitimate
argument when you consider how many people play and watch the sport
throughout the world, and many of the little league baseball fields
in our country have been turned into soccer complexes too! But
wait! Maybe the greatest sport is golf!?! This consuming sport is
the favorite pastime, no wait, obsession of millions of Americans.
So, which is it???
You can cast your vote for your favorite sport in your log, but
first, you will need to go out and find the cache(s). But
there's something you will need to remember. There is a bit of
information that you will need to gather, or really just pay
attention to at each of the five caches in this series. Then you
can use that information to solve a bonus puzzle cache called The
Greatest Sport? FISHING (GC2NZEM).
Make sure and give it a look see before you tackle this series.

The third cache in the series is FOOTBALL. It's
every bit as apple pie american as baseball. You are looking for a
baseball that is hidden near to one of Carrollton/Carroll County's
recreation facilities. You're right in the middle of the crowded
park here, and although it is a little trickier, it still should be
a pretty easy park and grab style cache for most cachers. Remember
to take a look at the final bonus cache, and also that some of
these facilities are very often crawling with muggles so be on your
best stealth behavior and help me keep these caches in place. Also,
some of these facilities close at dark, or sometime shortly after
so these caches will be best done in the daytime hours only.
Here you will find the other caches in the series:
BASEBALL
GC2NZEA, GOLF
GC2NZEB, FOOTBALL
GC2NZEC, BASKETBALL
GC2NZEE, SOCCER
GC2NZEG, and FISHING
