A kayak or canoe cache in the summer, an ice cache in the winter. Don't take unnecessary risks in between and only access by using one of the various public access points to the lake. Point Breeze Marina for example.
Placed this cache while cross country skiing on Webster Lake last weekend. Had to be stealthy due to ice fishermen nearby so coordinates are about 10' lower than the cache.
Don't forget to bring your own pen and tweezers.
