Geocache Description:

Some of us have been coming down to The Prom for 30 years and love this area. We felt this spectacular part of Australia needed some more caches to entice more people to experience the natural beauty of Australia's most southern tip on the mainland.
This cache we had planned to hide along the Norman Bay South track also know as Biddies Track but couldn't really find a suitable place and after an encounter with one of the many legless lizards here at the prom we decided on a safer option.

We quizzed the park ranger about Biddie as it is amazing all the stories you her about her. The ranger said that Biddie was an indigenous Australia who travelled with the sealers that came up from Tasmania. She spent most of her time around the north east side of the prom. It was said she was a feisty woman who went off on her own and lived life as a hermit. Nobody really knows what happened to her in the end.
The track was named after her even though she didn't live in this part of the prom.
While chatting with the ranger we mentioned the story we had heard about her. We had heard that her ghost could be seen walking the track at night. The Ranger laughed and made comment that she had not heard this one before and thinks it is a beer yarn made up to keep the kids from walking off at night.

This cache is placed along the walking track to Oberon bay (6km away) and little Oberon bay ( 3 kms away). You will have a great view of biddies track from here and out across Norman bay. Thanks to Hearse068 for helping me.

You can access the cache either by Norman Bay South Track (Biddies Track) or a nice walk along Norman Beach.

Don't forget to take your camera there are some great spots for photos. You are looking for a small tube like container. BYO pen thanks.

Congratulations to Flyingpigsquadron for being FTF
