Geocache Description:

This cache is about 200m from the road down the east entrance to the Strathcona Riverside Nature Trail.

I came across the Strathcona Riverside Nature Trail looking for new and interesting places to hide caches. This cache is fairly close to the start of the east entrance to the trail. A sign states the trail is open from 7 am till 11 pm. This cache is named "Riverside RCMP" because I got to meet one of our RCMP officers just after hiding it. And No, I did not get a ticket. I stopped him to ask him about the "No Trespassing" sign on the fence. The trail is good to go and the sign refers to the land on either side of the trail he told me. I HAVE CHECKED WITH THE COUNTY AND THIS TRAIL IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Stick to the narrow strip of land between the fences on this end of the trail. You are looking for a 1.4 liter lock'n'lock In winter the trail is ungroomed so snow shoes will make the hike in much more winter friendly. Not nessessary, but recommended. Winter terrain rating would have to be at least a 2 if not more depending on the amount of snowfall. No motor vehicals allowed on the trail.
