L’ultimo orso
Stranamente nel periodo attorno il1860 fu a mancare un manzo nei luoghi di „Val Vërda”. Ritrovando la carcassa in questo posto (Plan Ciampestrins) del manzo in un angolo morto e per metá mangiato, si supponeva da un analisi alla conclusione che si trattava di un animale grosso e selvaggio.
Alcuni cacciatori si mettero assieme per preparare una trappola mettendo una quindicina di pistole attorno alla carcassa del manzo che quando passava scattino i colpi.
Attorno le una di notte uno dei cacciatori ha sentito i colpi di pistola da lontano, recandosi subito a controllare la postazione non vedendo alcun animale.
Guardando piú attentamente vide del sangue per terra e radunó anche gli altri cacciatore per cercare questo presunto orso.
Non trovando subito questo orso la ricerca durava tutta la notte e soltanto in giornata fu ritrovato dissanguato presso la vallata “Ëur de Fussel da Cudan” La pello marrone del orso fu adoperata per la slitta a traino dove la gente poteva tenersi al caldo e la testa messa davanti sulla slitta in alto in bella vista. (A giorno d’oggi impensabile).

Der letzte Bär
Seltsamerweise war in der Zeit um 1860 ein Stier in der Zone "Val Vërda" zuhanden gekommen. Man fand den Kadaver der Stiers an dieser Stelle (Plan Ciampestrins) halb zerfressen und nach eine Analyse konnte es nur ein großes wildes Tier sein.
Einige Jäger präparierten hier eine Falle, indem sie ein Dutzend Gewehre um den Kadaver aufstellten wobei sie losgingen wenn was vorbei ging.
Um etwa ein Uhr nachts Hörte ein Jäger die Schüsse sofort nachsehen aber er fand nichts. Bei näherer Betrachtung sah er Blut auf den Boden und traf sich mit dem anderen Jäger um die Suche nach den vermutlichen Bären zu beginnen. Die Suche dauerte die ganze Nacht und erst am Tage wurde dieser Bär dann im bei „Ëur de Fussel da Cudan” gefunden. Er hatte en Braunes Fell und wurde verblutet aufgefunden, Das Fell wurde genutzt um sich auf dem Zieh-Schlitten warm zu halten und der Kopf des Bären wurde vorne ganz oben auf den Schlitten als Trophäe Aufgehängt (Heutzutage undenkbar).
