Geocache Description:

[LV] Slēpnis novietots Otrā pasaules kara laika elektrostacijas drupās. Šī dīzeļelektrostacija "K" (kara) ar 10 megavatu jaudu ekspluatācijā tika nodota 1939. gadā, tā bija pirmā pilnībā automatizētā elektrostacija Eiropā, paredzēta gadījumam, ja Ķeguma elektrostacija pārtrauktu darbu. Elektrostacija tika iznīcināta 1944. gadā, iekārtas tika izvestas uz Krieviju.

[EN] The cache is located in ruins of a power plant from World War II. This diesel power plant "K" ("karš" in Latvian means "war") with 10 megawat power was launched in 1939; it was the first fully automated power plant in Europa, made for situations when the operation of Kegums power plant would be interrupted. The power plant was destroyed in 1944 and the equipment was transported to Russia.

[EN] Recommend that you take the chance and walk through the tunnels to the fuel tanks.
