El Puente Viejo de Añasco, cuyo nombre verdadero es el Puente Salcedo, está ubicado en la carretera #2, en la colindancia de Añasco y Mayagüez. Este puente fue construído en 1940 y era utilizado por los camiones que transportaban caña a las centrales Igualdad de Mayagüez y Coloso de Aguada. Antes de decidir esconder este cache, hice una búsqueda en geocaching.com utilizando las coordenadas de este lugar y los resultados mostraron que no había ningún cache activo en este puente. Cuando hice una búsqueda en Google para obtener más información sobre este puente, los resultados muestran que anteriormente hubo un cache en este puente y que fue archivado. El primer cache fue escondido en Junio de 2008 por rickycardoli y fue archivado en Diciembre de 2010. English Translation:
The Añasco Old Bridge, which real name is Salcedo Bridge, is located on the State Road #2, between Añasco and Mayagüez. This bridge was built in 1940 and was used by trucks to transport sugar cane to the Central Igualdad in Mayagüez and Central Coloso in Aguada. Before deciding to hide this cache, I did a search on geocaching.com using the coordinates of this bridge, and the results showed that there was no cache active in this bridge. When I made a search in Google to obtain information about this bridge, the results showed that previously there was a cache hidden in this place and that it was archived. The first cache was hidden by rickycardioli in June 2008 and archived in December 2010. Given how interesting is this bridge, I decided to hide a cache, but not before contacting rickycardioli in order to find out if he had plans to reactivate his cache, in which case I would not hide mine.
