Chucky's 3-Point Shot Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Gram&Gramps: Last winter, Chucky said he'd like to have a cache near his house. We did a little planning, got permission to place a cache where we wanted, and had fun building a pretty creative hiding spot. Thirteen months ago we placed it. Chucky has enjoyed watching and meeting many of the 33 cachers who've found it. But apparently the neighbor to the south had an issue with it.

This evening, this same neighbor came onto Chucky's property, unbolted and unchained this cache, and moved it down the road onto somebody elses property. He apparently said nothing to anybody about what the problem was, he just took it upon himself to move it.

The last posted log was a month ago. It's hard to understand what may have led up to this.

This gentleman has been a good neighbor to Chucky's family. So in the interest of neighborhood harmony, the cache has been removed and archived. Very disappointing to Gram and me, but mostly disappointing to Chucky, the guardian and namesake of this geocache.

Geocache Description:

"Chucky" has been GeoCaching with Grandma and Grandpa for well over a year. He recently decided that he'd like to have a cache in his neighborhood, so we all knew it should reflect one of his interests. But as active as he is, it was tough to decide just which interest to use as a theme…

The cache container is a 44-ounce Fisher Peanuts clear plastic jar with a red lid, suitably camo'd. The peanut jar is easily accessible without prying or tugging on any of the camouflage, please do not look too aggressively. The cache is available 24/7, and well off the ground, so is winter friendly. However, having to climb over a snowbank left by the snowplow may be encountered.

This is placed on the corner of a rural home site. The resident Mrs. S. has granted permission for the placement and the seeking of it. There is no need to stray into the yard; the cache is hidden within twenty feet of the road. If you see Mrs. S. out in the play area with the little ones, please express your appreciation.

Congrats to bvds on their FTF at 10:00 in the morning while I was in my fourth hour of cleaning up from the blizzard - glad they could get out caching!
