Please do not access from the local business, There is plenty of open space to walk through to the west. See the following description!

I could see him from afar and knew he was huge. Although I could only see the tips of his antlers and based on stories and pics I have seen this one could hold a record. The grazing in the hills must be sparse to drive him this far into town. Follow the directions below and you too can walk to a manmade blind when you can observe this monster from within 100’ without spooking him. I found a good paved parking spot, and walked back to the main road. I then followed the hard packed trail in a NW direction until it ended and I was on the other side of the fence. Walking through the sandy open space it was just another 200’ before I reached the blind with a pristine view.
