Our traditional annual event -- Pinellas Geo Event 4!
The event is a potluck lunch and a lot more at Fort DeSoto Park. Ft. DeSoto is about the only park that can accommodate this fast-growing event!
Registration will begin at 9:00 am and lunch will begin at 11:30am. We will provide hot dogs, buns and the condiments. We will also provide paper products (plates, cups, napkins and plastic eating utensils). We are asking everyone who attends to bring a dish to share. Coffee will be available for the early birds!
Please post a “will attend” log and list how many adults and children attending, and what dish you will be bringing. We need an accurate count in order to have enough food for everyone.
We will have a table available for trading of Travel Bugs & Geocoins and another set up just for discovery. If you are interested, please bring your trackables with you.
We will also have several new caches for attendees.
Event T-Shirts and other items will be available for sale at the event, but we can only accept cash!
New cachers of all experience levels are invited to our popular “Newbie Caching Class” to learn the ropes of hiding and finding geocaches.
COME JOIN THE FUN. THERE WILL BE MANY CHANCES TO WIN PRIZES! THERE ARE SPECIAL DOOR PRIZES JUST FOR THE KIDS... SO BE SURE TO BRING THEM.
Tentative Schedule:
9:00 am – Registration and caching begins
9:00 am to 1 pm – Games: GeoBingo, Yatzee Run, and Treasure Map Hunt (kids only)
11:30 am – Lunch
12:30 pm – Door Prize Drawing begins
1:30 pm – Newbie Caching Class

PLEASE NOTE: There is an 85 cent toll on the bridge you need to cross to get to the Park.
