well literally crannog means an artificial type island or dwelling built out over the water, it has it beginnings in the old scottish / gaelic base. well no islands or dwellings here, just some travelers catching their breath!
well back to history... what would these ancients have used to build such a dwelling, made of pilings and planks? how would they hang the shingles and such? did they cover their walls with wisent hide, and if they went outside and took a step up... did they fall off their crannog? we will never know!
temporary parking across the quiet street, watch for mini muggles as there are a few of those little sand gnats flying around! also... be wary of the ATV trail head, not recommended for the journey.
please re-hide so it can't be seen from the trail! smaller than a micro
photo ops!
