Shekou (蛇口) is a small enclave on the waterfront 30km west of the downtown area of Shenzhen. What makes Shekou different from the rest of Shenzhen is that the largest concentration of expatriates live here. For them, Shekou area is home away from home. They are well catered for with international schools to educate their children, many playing areas to engage in various sporting activities, and anything and everything western that they might crave. Along Taizi Road, many bars and restaurants give the expats a reminder of tastes back home. The area is also a hub for foreigners and many westerners living in other parts of Shenzhen. Here they enjoy the local facilities at evenings and weekends. Shekou expat residents seem to enjoy a relaxed and leisurely life.
Visiting this cache will give you a quick glimpse of how life goes on for expats in Shekou. Cache is located inside a small park at the south end of Taizi Road across QSI International School. Please use extreme stealth, take your time and effort not to be discovered, as there are always people around.

• Bus no. 4, 77, 204, 226, 331, 332, 355, J1, K105, K204 or B687 to New Times Plaza (新时代广场)
