This re-hash of Base 2 is less demanding and time-consuming than the last version (a mystery cache which only a few managed to solve - well done folks!)
The car park mentioned is the nearest and most convenient parking place - please do not try to park on Holcombe Old Road, as sometimes this blocks access for residents and livestock owners.
Each base is a set of 4 concrete mounts arranged in a square. They supported the massive pylons that used to march across this moor. The direction abbreviations given refer to which of the four corners you need to search at. The first co-ords lead you to Base 1 - look for a film cannister here, by the SE corner. It contains the co-ordinates of Base 2, where, by the NW pillar base you will find another film canister containing the co-ords of the cache itself (which lies a short distance away in a little hidey hole).
The scenery has been greatly improved by the removal of the iron giants that used to stride over the moor here! Enjoy!
The cache is a snap-lock box with log book, pencil and sharpener, and a few swaps.
