NEWLY UPDATED AFTER BEING MUGGLED
I've only recently discovered geocaching, and it surprised me how few caches there are in Jerra, given the beautiful surrounding bushland. I've decided to try and rectify that; this is the first in a series of caches I plan to showcase the suburb.
From Wikipedia;
"Jerrabomberra (35°22'S 149°12'E? / ?35.367°S 149.2°E? / -35.367; 149.2) is a suburb of Queanbeyan in south eastern New South Wales, Australia. Jerrabomberra consists of three sections, The Park, The Heights, and Lakeview. The Park and the Heights are divided by Edwin Land Parkway. At the 2006 census, Jerrabomberra had a population of 8,747 people. Jerrabomberra is derived from the local Aboriginal place name meaning ‘boy frightened by storm’."
This cache is placed in a bushland reserve. It's a very short stroll from the road, and there's a small playground about 50 metres from the GZ for the geokiddies.
The cache is a standard tupperware-style locking container with notepad logbook and pencil but please note the container is inside a camouflage-patterned nylon drawstring bag, which may make it more difficult to spot.
The cache contains a special prize for the First To Find in the form of a custom LEGO minifig with a special "F2F" logo!
Enjoy! Any feedback about placement, difficulty or the rating of the cache is happily received!
