Geocache Description:

This is a Micro, (BYOP)

I spend a day recently exploring the Confines of the Baltimore and Ontonagon rivers. With the red clay that is Prevalent in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Baltimore and Ontonagon rivers water is a rusty red. Because water does not soak through the clay it runs toward the rivers. The water comes out of the river banks and creates giant red ice cycles that reach from the river banks down to the rivers

I placed this cache so cachers can stop and find a cache before they hike to O-Kun-De-Kun falls to find that cache.

It is quite a hike to O-Kun-De-Kun falls but worth every step. I hiked to the Falls last October but I didn't have that cache loaded into my GPSr. I'm looking forward to finding that cache and many more in this area this coming spring.
