Look towards the Freeway from here... You see that enormous new sign? The one that the Temecula Auto Dealerships just put in? Big ol' gigantic color screen and in perfect view of the passing cars on the Freeway?
Well my company is in charge of that sign, and it was a HUGE undertaking to construct it. SCE had to bring power out there, grading companies were brought in to relocate a drainage culvert that was in the way, and generally speaking a lot of ground was torn up to get it all constructed. Well RoxieMama had a cache out in this area, near the corner, very near where THIS cache is now situated. And her cache was demolished when this sign went in... So this one's for you, RoxieMama!!!
Today is February 23rd, 2011, and tonight at about 4:30 p.m. this sign will officially be "lit up". There will be a big opening ceremony, drinks, snacks and the like, and the heads of the Auto Dealerships, as well as the Mayor of Temecula, will be there for the kick-off. This sign will hopefully attract more people to the auto dealerships in our city, encouraging folks to buy local and boost our economy. Let's hope it works!!! And if it doesn't, it's still a pretty impressive sign...
