Just when you think that someone couldn't possibly find a spot for a new cache at Calavera, think again. I've been bumping around in this area for a couple of weeks trying to find the right spot that was at least 528 feet from the next cache. I found out it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. It got a whole lot easier when Dragon Fire was deactivated. The cache is a short hike from the dam.
This cache is located near the stream that flows out of the Calavera dam overflow pipe. Today the stream was gushing due inch of rain during the last 24 hours. It always cool to see the lake and the river after a big rain.
