The toilet breaking in one way or another always becomes an
inconvenience. We usually don't realize how nice it is that
they work until we have some kind of toilet
problem.
The other day I noticed water around the base of the
toilet. I investigated it and realized water is dripping from
a bolt underneath the bowl. It wasn't that bad.
Later that day I mentioned it to someone that stopped by.
They figured they would help the matter by tightening the bolt
up. I happened to look at the toilet 5 minutes later and
realized I had a huge puddle behind it. Great, that helped,
thanks for inducing the flood. Well just turn the toilet off
you say. That sounds like the thing to do until you get it
fixed. Well, one problem THERES NO SHUT OFF VALUE!
Hold on don't panic. I just got creative. I took the
arm with the float ball on it and put it over the overfill pipe, so
it stops the tank from filling up with water.
There's nothing like flushing a toilet with a bucket.
