CAMMO CAN NOT at the above cache page coordinates. They are stage 1, but you won't take your bearing from there. My intent is for you to do the "work" to find this one in the field - not at home having your computer calculate within a couple feet where the final location is.
The Story: For this milestone hide I wanted to do something special. CCL is the first place I ever went on a long hiking/caching excursion (truly Bliss for me!), so I knew the cache would have to be here somewhere. I have hiked and mt. biked dozens of times all around here since I started this hobby 4 years ago, and I keep finding newer and Cooler trails! I also love finding & hiding bearing caches, and the bearing wasn't too hard to match to the milestone.
The Cache: Once you arrive at Stage 1 you will find a three-trunked oak within 50 meters. I'm not saying which direction, but searching within a 100 meter diameter circle can't be all that hard! And it's in plain view from Stage 1. Walk to the tri-trunk tree, where you will see a pill bottle (sorry, Scoob!) hanging about 6' off the ground. This is Stage 2. Inside that pill bottle are 3 numbers. There is a logical order to arrange them in, and they will form a 3-digit number that is your distance, in METERS, from Stage 2. The bearing is 200°.
When you have walked the appropriate distance from Stage 2 you will see a likely area for a cache. Please re-close the geodoors on your way out!
