Hidden beside Goose lake on the western border of the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest in Maple Ridge.
This gorgeous little lake seems to be in limbo, partly in the resarch forest, bordered by private property and the UBC woodlot.There is an easy trail to the lake that starts from the gun nut club road behind the Golden Eagle golf course. This trail has been well used for years and years, and the city has informed me there is a municipal right of way from the golf course to the lake but the road is now marked as Private Property.I have been told by a member of the MR outdoor club that it is also lovely hike through the research forest to the lake
