Long ago, when hobbits and dwarfs roamed the Earth, there was a strange and magnificent tree like creature called the Ents. These magnificent creatures looked after the trees of the forest where they lived.
You will find this cache in the care of a magnificent old Ent of the Magnolia variety, which stands watch over a sporting field in the Gulf State Park. From the Ent's vantage point, it spends its days watching strange creatures with funny sticks chasing after little white spheres. The Ent finds it even stranger that when these creatures find the target of quarry, they take the sticks and knock the sphere away again.
In the afternoons and evenings, the Ent enjoys watching a large number of deer come out and feed in the open spaces of the sporting field. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a hunting club. Those who pursue anything other they the little white spheres will face a wrath that even outstrips that of the Ents.
Your target in his adventure is a match stick container. It should be a quick and easy find. While you are there, enjoy a round of chasing the spheres, a burger in the cafe, or a bucket of spheres on the target range.
Note: The FTF had such a great story, I had to include it here. Beware of the geocaching squirrels at this site.
FTF! This cache will definitely go down as one of my favorite and most memorable! I made it to the site.....no problem.....took a nice walk on a beautiful afternoon and with the description given, I was able to go directly to the cache. However, as I looked up from my GPS, I realized I had some competition for this FTF.......it was in the hands/mouth of a squirrel! I'm not sure how I convinced him to drop it, but he did. I am now dropping off the cache to the Owner for a little maintenance as he had chewed it pretty good and I'm not exactly sure where it originally was! He had even taken off the cap and removed the log.....I guess he was looking for a pen to log his FTF!
