Jedna z tatranskych jaskyn, ktora sa
nachadza v juznej casti Zapadnych Tatier, v masive Siveho vrchu,
resp. v Suchej doline. Je to najnizsie polozena jaskyna celych
Tatier. Vchod lezi vo vyske 765m n.m. a 73 m nad dnom doliny.
Dnesna dlzka jaskyne je okolo 150m.
Jaskyna pochadza z obdobia mladsieho halstatu. V tom obdobi si v
nej lud zalozil svatynu. Jej poslanie je zdoraznene opevnenym
posvatnym okrskom a zazemim, ktore je sustredene na dvoch vyssie
polozenych bralach. Tie nan plynulo a elegantne nadvazuju. V
strednej Europe ide o unikat, ktory prezradza, ze uz v starsej dobe
zeleznej sa tu vytvorilo zivotaschopne centrum. Totiz, svatyna
ktory neznicili ludia, vojny ani cas. Pretrvala cela aj so svojou
tajuplnou atmosferou. Tym je autenticka, nefalsovana, originalna,
jednoducho unikatna.
Dupnicu tvori okruhla miestnost 45x50 metrov s jednou chodbou, na
vychodnom okraji priepastovite klesajucou do podzemia.
Najhodnotnejsia cast svatyne sa nachadza priamo v strede. Ide o
sest skal ulozenych do tvaru podkovy. Tu druidi odbavovali posvatny
ritual pre mnohopocetny zastup bohov.
Ku skrysi:
Chodnik k jaskyni zacina za chatou, ktora je na pravej strane pri
vstupe do doliny (pred rampou).
svetla!
English version:
Dupnica cave is one of the Tatra caves, situated in the southern
part of the Western Tatras, in the mountain massif of Sivy vrch (
in Sucha Valley). It is the lowest cave in the whole Tatra
mountains. The entrance is at an altitude of 765m, lying 73m above
the floor of the valley. Today the known length of the cave is
about 150 m.
Dupnica cave is a unique place in Central Europe, revealing a story
about a viable Celtic centre created in the Iron Age. The cave
contains a shrine that was created by an ancient people during the
Halstatt period. Druids used to hold holy rituals for their gods
there. Although shrines of a similar size were typical of any
fortified estate of the period, it was always a place of
considerable respect and people found it as their main centre.
Dupnica cave and the celtic shrine it contains bear a strong
resemblance to another similar shrine located in Gournay-sur-Aronde
in France. Nevertheless, Dupnica is a creation of nature that has
never been destroyed either by humans, wars or time. It has
survived intact with its mystery, making the cave authentic,
genuine and quite simply unique.
The cave is a round chamber approx. 45x50m, with one corridor
sloping downward. The shrine’s importance is emphasized by a
sacred base which is centred on two higher cliffs. The most sacred
part is right in the centre, where six stones lie on the ground in
a horse shoe shape.
Note:
Footpath leading to the cave begins behind the chalet situated on
the right side off the enter to the valley (in front of the ramp).
It is a private chalet, but the owners are used to people crossing
the area.
You need a lamp as a geocache is hidden in the cave. It is under
the first big rock on the right side of the cave.
