Nearby in a tall tree is the home of the local cockatoo family. It's also right beside the train line... Very noisy place to be at certain times of day!

The Hornsby Historical Society also has a building and museum that you can visit 10am -2pm every Tuesday, 1:30pm -5pm third Sunday of the month. BYO pen!
