A "John Masser Memorial" Geocache . . .
This cache was placed by the late Banksia777's nephew and his girlfriend while they stopped in to visit him on their way around the world! Both were from Holland, as you may guess. You'll enjoy the views of the Blue Mountains around here as much as they did.
Below is an extract from the story of the travelling Dutchmen. (To read the rest you'll need to find the geocache!)
"Yeaaaah, you found our treasure! The treasure of the wicked Dutchmen. We are Peter and Arayana travelling around the world. We used to live in the Netherlands but when Peter turned 30 he could not face it. So we decided to travel around the world and enjoy life."
GZ is near a popular tourist spot with fantastic views over the Grose Valley.
From the car park -- located at S33°37.071' E150°19.704' -- it’s roughly a 300 metre walk down the track to GZ. The container is hidden only about 20 metres off the main track.
Once you have found the cache go down the track a little further and enjoy the scenery. Note that there are no dangerous cliffs near GZ -- just some scratchy bushes!
