From various points around the area, you can see a tree that is strange in shape and a lot larger then any others in the area.
However, from this close it is not actually a tree. A problem existed with phone signals in the area, especially on Saturdays when hundreds of people attend a market just around the corner. But nobody wanted their views wrecked. The phone people were intent on ignoring residents needs, then somebody came up with this design. It is unique, doesn't intrude on the views and provides a useful wildlife haven. If you go over the fence for a better view (it is private property so please dont, just take my word.) then you will notice lots of bird nests and problem some roosting as well.
Best to do this on a saturday, so you can also visit the famous St Andrews Market 500m down the road.
