Spence Hideaway
This cache was going to be called Evatt hideaway but due to it not being in Evatt well you know I just had to call it Spence hideaway.
Spence was named after William Guthrie Spence (1846-1926). William Guthrie was a prominent labour leader and was ‘father’ of the Australian Workers’ Union. He was a Member of the First House of Representatives 1901 and was Postmaster-General from 1914-15. William Guthrie was Vice-President of the Executive Council from 1916-17.
The suburb name "Spence" was gazetted on 2 November 1972. Street names in Spence are named after trade unionists.
This cache is placed in a small part of bush right in the suburb. Its a very very easy cache but made it a multi so you could have a little walk in the area.
At the published coordinates you should see some yellow poles which have two letters and 3 numbers, let these become ABC At the next waypoint let them be DEF
