This spot was a family favourite when I grew up in the area. "The Blocks" were subdivided into 33 Sections in 1896 and offered for lease as workmen's blocks.
A much repeated story was that a man signed the lease to a block sight unseen in England and planned to open a blacksmith's workshop on it. He is reported to have taken one look at the block and killed himself.
Take a minute to check out the very steep land while you're here.
Enjoy the drive to this cache as getting there is half the fun! Take care as the road is very narrow.
Cache container is a cylindrical plastic jar. It initially contained a notebook, pencil, and various items for swapping.
