Geocache Description:

Another small lock and stock container hidden at a fantastic spot for a full view of Cowdenknowes House and Tower.

Cowdenknowes House and Tower (Drive) has historical information that may be of interest.

This Cache is on part of the Earlston Path System.
It is on the Leaderfoot Pathway which was opened in June 2010.

Assuming you start your walk at Sorrowlessfield layby on the A68 at cache GC35R11 you can head off down the path and with a few detours do 2 other caches that are fairly close by before you do this one.

This cache is easily reached by following the well trodden paths marked with yellow markers.

If you are happy to walk a little further along the path after finding this cache you have an option of turning right and heading up towards the Old A68 and returning back to Sorrowlessfield along the tarmac. (The last part would be on the verge).

If you continue to walk to Leaderfoot there are options of another cache close by and then at Leaderfoot the chance of public transport back to Earlston or continuing to walk to Newstead and Melrose while completing more caches on route.
