Geocache Description:

LSP permit-GW1

"Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am- stuck in the middle with you."
A typical breakfast at the beehive? No, just our tribute to Scots-Irish rocker/songwriter Gerry Rafferty. We thought it fit since this cache is almost right in the middle of this section of greenway.

We love the song "Stuck in the Middle With You" and had been thinking about that for a name for this cache for quite a while, then when Gerry passed on in Dec 2010, we knew that the cache had to be done. For those of you too young to remember the band Stealer's Wheel, Rafferty also had some hits as a solo artist. The song Baker street is the kind of song that sticks in your head for a long time.

Now, about the cache. This cache is near the halfway point of the greenway between the Cuylerville gate and the one on Chandler Rd. It is about 1.5 miles each way, so the entire trip is about 3 miles, no matter how you do it. There are no shortcuts without tresspassing on private property. (Do you really want to go sneaking across the Sportsman's club's hunting grounds?) We listed it as a terrain 3 due to the longer hike, for those who never bother to actually read the cache page, although the walking is beautiful easy greenway hiking. The container is a lock-n-lock, the cammo is a special item given to us by a friend a while ago. Please be careful to replace the hide as you found it. There is a 2-dollar bill for the FTF and a couple of gold coins for 2nd & 3rd

This spot on the greenway not only has one of the nice benches for resting, it also has one of the best views of the river the greenway has to offer. Check out the pics, and if you drive down river road to get to one of the entrances, you get a cool view of some longhorn steer
