Geocache Description:

qui amissis - those who were lost...

Many New Zealanders are grieving after the February and September earthquakes in Christchurch. This cache was placed to provide a link to Christchurch's New Brighton which shares the same coastline, and name as this special spot.

Brighton beach is an amazing place to sit and watch the Pacific Ocean, this cache will be challenging to reach - it is advised that you check tides before you leave, otherwise you might get very wet!

There will be a steep scramble too, but once you get to the cache site you are rewarded with a very cool view of both the Pacific Ocean and the cliffs of Brighton beach.

Co-ords are accurate to 3m according to GPS, I'm not especially confident however, so detailed hints are available if you need them.

Children have completed this cache, but be aware that it probably isn't suitable for very small children, unless they are feeling adventurous!

Container is very well camouflaged and the container does not come out of the cammo - the cap unscrews. if you try and yank the container out you will cause irreparable damage, so please twist once you locate the container.

You will also notice that the container is secured in place with wire to secure it from strong winds!
