Geocache Description:


社伝によると、貞観元(859)年に筑前国(九州福岡地方)八幡宮の分霊として勧請したとされる。
築城時の検地町割りや明治維新の際に敷地を削られているが、もともとは広大な敷地を有していたといわれる。

祭神は、応神天王、神功皇后、三女神。
境内には、白龍を祀る社殿、陰陽石などがあります。

また、ここの神様は耳が遠いため、一旦裏手にまわって、小石で社殿の腰板を叩いてから参拝すると願いが届く、という言い伝えがあるとのこと。
